The hideout served as the setting for the first appearance of Hector Salamanca, who communicated using a desk bell attached to his wheelchair. In Their Own Story

Walt attempted to poison Tuco's food with ricin, but Hector observed him and knocked the plate off the table. This led Tuco to take Walt and Jesse outside, holding a gun to Jesse's head until Walt confessed. While Tuco was distracted, Jesse overpowered him with a rock shot from his pistol. When a vehicle approached, Walt and Jesse hid, assuming it contained Tuco's cousins, but it was actually Hank Schrader.
