Lore & Background

In this episode, Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, and Mike meet with Phoenix-based competitor Declan to discuss the heisted methylamine. Walt counters Declan's $15 million buyout offer by proposing to sell his superior meth through Declan's network for a share of the business and a $5 million payment to Mike. The episode details the DEA closing in on Mike after finding a search warrant, leading him to stash a go bag at an airport parking lot with cash, a passport, and a gun.

In Their Own Story

Walt avoids Jesse, who demands his money share but leaves angry after Walt's accusations. Meanwhile, Mike learns of the warrant and flees a park with his granddaughter Kaylee when police arrive. He asks Saul for help retrieving his bag, but Saul refuses; Jesse also declines to avoid being spotted, so Walt retrieves it. At the meeting, Walt demands the names of nine men Mike is paying off before handing over the bag. When Mike takes the bag anyway, they argue about Walt's ego ruining their arrangement with Gus Fring. Walt leaves, realizes he forgot his revolver in the bag, and returns to find Mike waiting. After an argument where Mike tells him to let him die in peace, Walt shoots Mike. Walt later realizes he could have simply asked Lydia Rodarte-Quayle for the names.
