Jesse Pinkman offers meth to a gas station cashier to avoid paying for gasoline and cigarettes; she accepts. Meanwhile, Walter White confronts Ted Beneke at Skyler White's workplace, causing a scene before being thrown out. Mike Ehrmantraut takes Walt to Saul Goodman's office, where Saul tries to convince Walt to keep producing meth. Walt refuses after learning his house was bugged, makes crude remarks about Skyler's affair, tackles Saul, and fires him. Consequently, donations for Walter White Jr.'s fundraising site stop. At school, Walt attempts to kiss vice principal Carmen Molina; she rejects him and places him on indefinite leave. Jesse intercepts Walt outside the school with a new batch of meth, which Walt rejects as substandard. Jesse decides to sell directly to Gus Fring via Saul and Mike. Gus agrees to buy it, hoping Walt's pride and financial need will bring him back. Skyler continues her affair with Ted despite suspicion from co-workers following Walt's outburst. After sex at his house, she refuses to explain her marriage troubles or move in with him. Hank Schrader stays in the area after receiving a new lead on blue meth, ignoring Steve Gomez's concerns about his mental state. Hank interrogates the gas station cashier and retrieves ATM images to prove he is "close to something big," preventing his transfer to El Paso. Jesse delivers meth to Victor but receives only half payment. Later, while stopped at a red light, Walt hears news of Donald Margolis's injury on the radio. Victor arrives, gives Walt his half of Jesse's earnings, and drives off just as the light turns green.
